All of Monika’s ceremonies have the couples at the very centre, their wishes, dreams, ideals and personal style. Whether small & personal, big & bold, short & sweet or elaborate & rich in rituals, a truly personal experience is what she wants to create, and co-create with couples.

 

In Scotland and the Highlands in particular we are spoiled with a unique landscape, allowing couples to tap into the magic of nature, whether it’s on a beach, an atmospheric woodland or in the mountains. Ceremonies in nature are a special passion of Monika, unsurprisingly given she is also a Nature Connection guide and an outdoor enthusiast in her personal life, living on a woodland croft with her family and often out in nature in her spare time for slow and mindful activities as well as bigger adventures, wild camping and wild swimming.

 

Knowing the landscape so intimately Monika enjoys highlighting some of the lesser known but truly magical ceremony locations hidden around the North Highlands, but she is also happy to travel beyond the Highlands to the Outer Hebrides, Moray, Aberdeenshire and Highland Perthshire. Whilst she gets very excited working couples who look for very unique elopements - travelling in a campervan or on bikes, looking for a ceremony as part of a wild camping trip, involving boats or canoes, remote beaches or lochs she is equally happy to hold ceremony indoors. Woodland shelters, shepherd huts, lodges, castles or hotels - unconventional ceremony magic can be created anywhere!

 

As an Interfaith Celebrant Monika works with couples of all faiths and none and can skillfully and confidently incorporate select elements from different faith paths or spiritual outlooks on life,  support in honouring the beliefs and traditions of the wider family or deliver a person centred humanist ceremony. The same goes for blending cultures - being Austrian and part of a Scottish-European couple means honouring and celebrating diversity really matters to Monika.
