Hi, I'm Lynsey Linnen the owner, creator and sole baker at Custom Cakes. I come from a pastry chef background working around many of Scotland's hotels and restaurants from the age of 16. I have always loved baking and cake decorating so I took the leap in 2011 to turn my hobby into a career and I have never looked back.

Growing up I was always a wee alternative weirdo, we were called grungers back then in the early 90's. I live for music and my vocabulary is mostly made up of song lyrics, TV and movie quotes. I especially love making anything with a touch of quirkiness, especially designs with a goth vibe!
I offer an endless list of flavours, if you have a specific flavour combination you love, just tell me and I'll make it in cake form. I love hearing back from clients that tell me my cakes taste just amazing as they look.
I work from home but have a dedicated "cake room" where I also hold my consultations and if you're a dog person you can request to meet our collie Fergal Barkey at the end of your session.
