We, as a family took on this wonderful country house back in May 2025. We have all set about making it the best it can be to support a range of potential clients (for weddings as well as holidays). We have added paths throughout the estate enabling people to walk through the excellent areas without sinking! We have cleaned out the large pond (lochan) and added Muscovy ducks. The wildlife now easily viewable includes Deer, Owls, Various Raptors, large and small birds by the hundreds and if your quiet… Pine Martins, red squirrels and the odd Otter.

This work has uncovered the unconventional in many senses. We will be adding pods into that space this year and ensuring they are given all the seclusion, privacy and vistas available. We are also toying with adding mobile log powered saunas and hot tubs so that they can be placed just about anywhere onsite……. Anyone for a ceremony in a Sauna in the woods???

The Rhododendrons, Ewe and Laurel trees have created caverns which are 70 plus years old. The branches form a canopy under which the unconventional meets the unconventional!

The backdrop of forest, hills and mountains added to that picture and, with so many differing photo sites in one place, makes the photos unique to the happy couple and limited only by their imagination.

Flexibility - while there are always limitations, we want our couples to be able to make it their day. As a Mechanical Engineer with a son who is a specialist Carpenter, I think we could have fun here? We also have a Mercedes Marco Polo camper which we hire out…… ceremony at Lonan House……. honeymoon in a camper in the Highlands!?
